This course will explore what is meant by mental health and well-being, we will examine the most common mental health conditions and look at their treatments. We will consider the role of specialist organisations and how they can support people and families. Together we will review the support for a person in crisis and what advice there is in the local community. Finally we will review how to maintain good mental health.
There is just one unit - Mental Health and Well-being awareness. This course is assessed externally through a forty-minute test paper or e-assessment of twenty multiple choice questions.
