Like the Junior Animal Care introductory course, you will still cover a variety of topics to include animal handling, feeding, cleaning, accommodation and grooming and you will practice these on a range of species in our animal unit. You will have an opportunity to broaden the skills you learned previously and work with some of the animals you haven’t before. You could be involved with handling some of our more challenging animals such as the ferrets, corn snakes and water dragon and you may even get the chance to feed the snakes. Come along and you will learn more about how to care for our weird and wonderful animals. With over 30 species of animals, there is plenty to learn about and we do this in a practical way as we know how important hands-on experiences are.
If you have long hair, please tie it back, take off any jewellery and remove nail varnish/false nails.
