18:00 - 21:00
Call 01756 693 309 for details.
You need to complete and achieve the following units:
The main pieces of work will be your proof of work – such as drawings, plans, research and samples.
You will also complete your own project of designing and making an outfit, including a top and skirt or trousers, using only natural fabrics (i.e. cotton, linen, wool)
This course is suitable for anyone who possesses good basic sewing skills in setting up & threading a machine and being able to sew and would like to enhance their skills.
Once enrolled, you will be provided with a ‘Kit List’ of sewing resources you may like to bring with you to lessons (i.e. your own shears etc), although all tools are provided. You will also be advised on the type of portfolio you would like to submit – this can be paper based or electronic.
Coursework and theory will be carried out alongside practical work throughout the course; you are expected to dedicate approximately one hour of time to research per week, outside of class time.
You will need to provide the fabrics and patterns for your project; however, your tutor will guide you with these purchases.
